Why some details stay confidential
Why some project details remain confidential
An innovation portfolio is not a technical disclosure library. Some projects can be shown in detail; others are presented through their purpose, application area or commercial direction while sensitive know-how remains confidential.
The level of public detail depends on the project stage and on what can be disclosed without weakening patent strategy, trade-secret value, contractual confidentiality, partner interests, regulatory work or a future market launch. In some cases, publishing the mechanism, formulation, geometry, algorithm, economics or implementation sequence would disclose the very know-how that gives the project its value.
A concise public page does not mean that the underlying work is equally concise. More detailed technical or commercial material may be discussed with prospective partners after an initial assessment of relevance and, where appropriate, under confidentiality.
